beady-eye v0.36.0

Name a bead, get a link: in beady-eye 0.36, the bead window lists the beads its description mentions

Write a bead’s id into another bead’s description, and beady-eye 0.36.0 makes it a row you can follow. Open a bead and a new MENTIONS section at the bottom of its window lists every bead the description names. Follow one with Enter or a click, as you would a parent or a dependency.

The oat flat white goes on the board at the price another bead settles, and Saturdays wait on a word with the dairy. Neither is a dependency, just a name in the note. The bead window lists both under MENTIONS, and following the dairy bead shows the day it comes back.

Back on the menu on the sixth

A deferred bead’s window now says the date it comes back, on a row of its own under the bead’s other dates. The snowflake tells you it is on ice. The window now tells you for how long.

The right kitchen’s order

A dependency on <project>:<id> now waits on the bead in the project it names. A bead waiting on another project’s bead used to read as ready. It now waits, even where another project holds the same id. A project name your config does not list is reported as unconfigured.

Before you upgrade

A project whose .envrc direnv will not load is now unavailable, where bdi used to read it with whatever bd and credentials it was started with. Allow the .envrc, or drop direnv exec . from that project’s config. The release notes cover this, the events_journal key, a colour for open ids, and fixes to bdi gates and the watcher.

Two names on the ticket. Both on the pass. Order up.
